Administrative Team

  • Our Administrative Team helps the church with general office tasks such as preparing the Sunday bulletin, mailing letters, newsletters, & prayer cards as needed. They also make copies of Sermons and other documents for services. They make sure the information posted at the Information Center is current. (1 Corinthians 16:14)

Altar Team

  • Our Altar Team consists of men and women who are ready during service to pray with person(s) that come up during the invitation. This team is ready to help them with decisions and take them from the sanctuary to verify their acceptance of Christ. (Matthew 11:28)

American Sign Language Ministry (ASL)

  • Signs sermons, lessons, and music for the edification of deaf church participants. (1 Corinthians 14:13)

Attendance Secretary

  • Our Attendance Secretary takes church attendance. They are preset before and after services to register, give out information, and answer questions about our church. (Hebrews 10:25)

Audio Ministry

  • All our main services are recorded and posted on the website. Messages are available free in Windows Media & Real Audio Format as well as on YouTube. If you have skills in this area we are in need of help. (Hebrews 4:12)

AWANA Clube Leaders & Workers

  • Offering a fun approach for early evangelism and discipleship; a Scripture based program with exciting games that attract families, promote Bible literacy ad help kids develop lifelong faith in Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 2:15)

Baptism Assistants

  • Baptism Assistants are men assisting men and women assisting women with baptism needs. (1 Corinthians 12:13)

Benevolence Ministry

  • This is a ministry designed to help needy or hurting people in the congregation and community. It ministers to members who have lost loved ones in death by providing a meal to family and friends after the funeral service. Team members prepare, set up, serve the meal, and then clean up afterward. They also visit church members or member's families who are unable to get out or come to church. This ministry also provides holiday food baskets to the needy during Thanksgiving and Christmas. (Matthew 25:35)

Card Ministry

  • Our Card Ministry volunteers send birthday cards, get well cards, & words of encouragement to church members and friends. (Proverbs 30:5)

Care Groups

  • These groups meet monthly at someone's home or local restaurant for food, fun, & fellowship, thus enabling new friendships. They invite new members or visitors to come and make them feel welcome. These groups also teach or facilitate groups in growing more like Christ through study of the Word at other than regular church services. These groups may be held on the church grounds, homes, or other locations. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)

Children's Church

  • Designed for children ages 3-6 years, with nursery provided for younger children, during the Praise & Worship am service. This all-important ministry helps to prepare children for the transition to regular church. The Gospel of taught here with an end goal of recognition of Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior. (Matthew 19:14)

Church-Wide Missions Emphasis

  • This is an annual focus on world missions that seeks to raise awareness, support, and involvement in missions. This includes promoting and participating in the annual mission's weekend and offering, as well as mission trip opportunities for various local, state, national, and international trips. Provide vital prayer support for mission projects and promotion. During a national disaster, feeding and child-care teams, go as requested to help with disaster relief around the U.S. Previous training in disaster relief may be required. (Matthew 28:19)

Clean Used Tennis Shoes 4 Kids (CUTS4K)

  • Collect tennis shoes for kids of all ages that are in need. Shoes are collected from family and/or friends. (Acts 20:35)

College Groups

  • College students getting together for Bible study, fun, and fellowship. Reaching out to other students. (Psalm 62:8)

Communion Team

  • They assist the Elders with the preparation of the Lord's elements and with communion during the services. (1 Corinthians 11:24-25)

Communication & Advertising Teams

  • This team increases and develops communication and publicity within the church through the design and distribution of the church newsletter, bulletin, and church website. (Psalm 19:14)

Creative Arts

  • Those involved in the creative arts use their creative talents to serve the Lord in writing or performing dramas, musicals, plays, poetry, skits, or videos. They also design costumes, help in sewing projects. These talented people also work with the Praise & Worship Team and the Pastor on occasional projects. (Colossians 3:17)

Crochet & Knitting

  • Women meet together for fun and to make blankets, scarfs, and mittens. Learning from each other and teaching other women how to crochet or knit. Many also make blankets for new babies, elderly saints, and homeless. (Proverbs 31:13)

Decorations

  • This team decides what kinds of decorations are needed for any upcoming special events: Palm Sunday, Resurrection Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas and any other events as approved by the church. They direct and help decorate any other room(s) in the church. (Colossians 3:23)

Fit for HIM

  • A fitness program for women who get together for encouragement and to participate in routine exercises, walking, or hiking. Foot ware should be athletic or tennis shoes, no bare feet or sandals. Participants are encouraged to consult with their physician prior to signing up if they are new or returning to exercise after a lengthy time or after illness or injury. CDs and videos are used. (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Five Loaves & Two Fish

  • Provide food for needy families within the church family or as requested by the church. (Matthew 14:17)

Gracious Women Ministry

  • Older women teaching Bible lessons, crafts, and sewing lessons to younger girls. Lessons are taught at their convenience. (Titus 2:3-4)

Greeter

  • Welcome people in the parking lot or at the entrances as they arrive for Bible study or Praise and Worship Service. Pass out bulletins. (Philippians 1:2)

Historian

  • Keeps records of all church important special events such as anniversaries, revivals, etc. (Genesis 1:1)

Holy Grounds

  • Decorates and beautifies our buildings and grounds. Help with ongoing repairs, maintenance, or improvement of existing buildings. Helps keep the church campus in good shape. Are you handy when it comes to painting, building maintenance, or carpentry? There’s a project just waiting for you. May designate and oversee a week during the summer to get the whole church involved in the beautification of our facility. Done at the volunteer’s convenience. (Exodus 3:5)

Hospitality/ Fellowship Team

  • Schedule, determine theme, promote, and prepare occasional church-wide fellowships not a part of any other ministry. Serving coffee and snacks to people at the Da’Java Cup prior to Sunday morning Praise and Worship hour. (1 Peter 4:9)

King’s Kids Sunday School

  • Teach children of all ages Bible verses and songs, prior to the Praise and Worship morning service. (Proverbs 22:6)

Library

  • Works at cataloging and promoting spiritual growth through a church library and encourages all ages to use the DVDs and books. (Ecclesiastes 12:11)

Media Team

  • Works with computers as they are needed in worship and communication throughout the church. During worship services, uses PowerPoint as needed, as well as other computer related tasks to enhance communicating the Gospel. (1 John 2:20)

Military Personnel Support Ministry

  • Periodically writing letters of encouragement, preparing and sending packages to service men and women who are members or related to church members who are deployed. See to it that military families in our vicinity are well during deployment of the military member. (2 Timothy 2:3)

Money Counters

  • Counts, sorts, and records all offerings from the services.  (2 Corinthians 9:7)

New Christian Team

  • Helps new Christians begin their new life in Christ and get plugged into the church. (John 14:6)

New Life Men of Courage

  • This ministry aims at helping men grow spiritually through regular study groups, Saturday breakfast fellowships, retreats, and accountability. (1 Timothy 5:1)

New Life Women of Courage

  • This ministry aims at helping women grow spiritually through regular study groups, Saturday breakfast fellowships, retreats, and accountability. (1 Timothy 5:2)

New Member Team

  • Befriend new members to help them find their place in the church and to meet church members (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Nursery Ministry

  • For children too young for Children’s Church during Praise and Worship services. These vital volunteers work one service every 4 weeks so that the parents of younger children can be in the worship services or Bible studies. (James 1:17)

Praise and Worship Team

  • Provides vocal and instrumental music during worship services which lead to encounters with the Lord in worship. This team may assist or lead the church in cantatas, choreography, dramas, musicals, and plays as needed. (Psalm 98:4)

Prayer Warriors Chain

  • Calling the Body int prayer during crisis or emergencies, these teams are on standby all the time ready to pray for anyone. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

Praying Moms

  • This ministry is for moms to get together at their convenience and learn from each other as they see their children grow in the Lord and for the sharing of a devotional and prayer time.  (1 Peter 5:7)

Prison Ministry

  • Visit prisoners and their families to ascertain their needs. Promote prayer and Bible study. This ministry is also for people who have just come out of prison, helping them with needed items such as household items, clothing, and spiritual guidance. (Matthew 25:36)

Quilters Club

  • Meet at their homes to have fun quilting and learning from each other. Teach others to quilt. (Genesis 37:3)

“Reach Out” Visitation Team

  • Receives regular visitor or absentee names and connects them; also shares the ministries of the church by witnessing as the Lord opens doors. (Matthew 5:16)

“Reach Out” Events Support

  • Helps with occasional events to reach out to the local community and share the love of Jesus. These events include: 4th of July picnics, Fall Festival (at Halloween time), and other regularly scheduled events to reach out the community.  (Isaiah 55:11)

Recycling for Jesus

  • Team collects cell phones and inkjet cartridges from church members and families, a way to raise funds for our church. Items are shipped for recycling. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Ride Ministry

  • Free transportation to and from our church as needed. (Philippians 4:19)

Security/ Safety Team

  • Helps safeguard the security and safety of all people while they are on church grounds. Appropriate for those with training in medical, security, or law-enforcement. (Psalm 91:11)

Senior Adults Ministry

  • Visit and minister to senior adults and help with monthly meetings and get-togethers throughout the year, to help seniors with personal things in their golden years. Also, visits lonely and elderly people, some of whom are near eternity. We have the privilege of being able to minister to these people on a regular basis. This may involve the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper. (Romans 12:13)

Singles Groups

  • Single men and women who meet for Bible study and fellowship (Philippians 2:4)

Sisters-in-Christ Ministry

  • Ladies have the opportunity to minster to other ladies on the church by praying for them, writing encouraging notes, giving small gifts, and simply befriending them. (1 Peter 5:14)

Sunday Bible Study Teacher

  • Teaches the Bible weekly during the Sunday Bible Study hour. All age groups are needed: Adult, Young Adult, Youth, Children, and Preschool. We also have needs for on-call substitute teachers. (Jeremiah 3:15)

Teacher/ Preacher Prayer Team

  • Prays for the special needs of our pastor and family, receiving regular updates and requests. (Isaiah 54:17)

Vacation Bible School

  • Annual, one-week ministry event (usually in June or July) at New Life Family Worship Center for children. The purpose of which is to minister to children and to reach the unchurched families in the community. (Matthew 19:14)

Welcoming Team

  • Greet people as they arrive for worship, provide them with a bulletin and Bible study outlines. Directs guest to the Da’Java Cup for snacks and coffee and other locations. Helps with seating and answers questions; providing visitors information about our church. (1 Peter 5:14)

Young Adults

  • Meet for Bible study and fellowship when it is convenient for all. (Psalm 63:1)

180 Student Ministry

  • Boys and girls from grades 7 – 12 meeting for food, fun, and faith. Reaching out to other students in the community and growing closer to the Lord. Activates may include: concerts, retreats, community projects, and mission trips. (Psalm 51:10)
