What a great monsoon season. I remember when I was a small child, and we moved here from Rhode Island. We stayed at the Sunset Motel in Tucson on the Benson Highway. It was during the monsoon season, and it seemed as if rained every day for a week. There was a ditch behind the motel and to me it was like having a river in your backyard. I thought it was so cool to have all that rain. Well…?
I’m happy to report that it seems as if we have turned a corner with our Praise and Worship team. Janie Howard and the team have brought a new enthusiasm to our Fellowship Service. It seems as if many more are engaged and enjoying the times of praise. If you get a chance, stop and thank these folks for their hard work and commitment. And that goes for our Audio/Video team too; otherwise known as the cave dwellers. Lots of work has gone into improving our sound system and YouTube transmissions. Many favorable comments have been made by the folks watching us from around the country.
Our new Wednesday night program has kicked off with impressive results. New Life Kids and Students has been well attended and the new program has been well received by teachers, parents and attendees. Pray for our workers as the year has just begun. And most especially pray for the kids as we attempt to help them to seal their hearts for future service to the Lord.
Well, we’re busy planning new events. We’ll be advertising by email, text messaging, and of course online at newlifebenson.com. The Young at Heart choir will be here 22 September for the AM Fellowship and Steve Weatherford will stop by in November. God bless and keep up the “Good Fight.”
